Consumer Reports recommends Volkswagen Jetta Sportwagen TDI for more fuel efficiency.
Consumer Report test four vehicles, each from different auto maker for fuel efficiency. For their upcoming January 2011 issue, Magazine tested 2011 Ford Fiesta, Honda CR-Z, Mazda2 and Volkswagen Jetta Sportwagen TDI.
With the end of testing, they recommend Vw's Jetta Sportswagen TDI. On the other side Honda CR-Z scored too low to be recommended to its viewers.
They didn't come to any conclusion about both Fiesta and Mazda2, since they are two new models with less data, but they seems to like both the vehicles.
Testing the two variants each of the Mazda and Ford subcompacts, manual and auto transmission. Fiesta impressed slightly higher than the Mazda2 overall.
From their test, the Volkswagen Jetta Sportwagen TDI performed admirably, having a fuel efficiency of 36 mpg overall and a 49 mpg on the highway.
